Therapeutic massage
For the neck, shoulders and lower back that come with desks, screens and long commutes. Focused, deliberate, and firm as you want it — not as firm as possible.
Bellevue, Washington · by appointment
Licensed therapeutic and relaxation massage in a quiet private studio — unhurried, carefully judged, and tailored to whatever your shoulders have been doing to you lately.
Appointments only — so the room is always yours alone.
What to expect
You’ll be asked what hurts, what you do all day, and what you’d like from the hour. Then you’re left alone to get comfortable under the blanket, and covered throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time.
Pressure is checked early and adjusted whenever you say. If something isn’t working, say so; it changes nothing except the massage. Afterwards there’s water, and no rush to be anywhere.
This is a family‑friendly, licensed practice: therapeutic massage and nothing else. Sessions are booked in advance, the studio is private, and the same care is taken whether you have come in with a marathon injury or a month of bad sleep.
If you’re recovering from surgery or an injury, or under treatment for anything, mention it when you book so the hour can be planned around it.
Treatments
One rate, whichever you choose — $60 an hour. Book sixty or ninety minutes; most people find ninety is the one they wish they’d booked. If you like it firm, say so — many of my clients do.

Slower and broader, for when the problem isn’t one muscle but the whole month. Warm oil, even pressure, and quiet.
Slow, patient work into the layers underneath — for old knots, restricted movement, and shoulders that have stopped rotating properly.
For muscles that have been asked to do too much — after a long run, a heavy week of training, or a season that never quite stopped. Firm, focused work on the groups that are actually tired, to get range of movement back and shorten the recovery.
Warmed stones laid along the back and worked with the hands, so the heat reaches the muscle before any pressure does. A gentler route to the same depth — and the one to book in February.
Gift certificates — an hour to yourself is a better birthday present than most things that come in a box. Call or email and one will be ready the same day.
About
A licensed massage therapist practicing in Bellevue, and the only person you will meet here.
Yamin — Karen to most of her clients — has been a licensed massage therapist in Washington State since 2010. Her work is unhurried and precise — she would rather spend the hour on the two things that are actually wrong than tour the whole body.
